Growing up, Nemanja went to school every day wondering how many of his peers and fellow classmates would not graduate. While attending college, he learned about City Year from his mentor for the first-generation college student program, Cassie Bosaco, who was also a City Year Los Angeles alumna. Nemanja is Fired Up to Serve so he can help more students get on track for graduation, and so he can inspire others just as his mentor inspired him.
